I thought I would update. I am very exhausted today even though I have been resting better the past few days. I spent a lot of time over the weekend in bed due to contractions. I assume they are braxton hicks, but they were coming like gang busters so I decided to hold up in bed a read Sparkly Green Earrings by Melanie Shankle. Have you read it yet? I have been dragging my fee to finish because I just don't want it to end. I have to tell you she is a Texas girl after my own heart - she references Urban Cowboy at least twice and I find myself bursting with laughter. If you don't know Urban Cowboy has been my favorite movie since I was five.
(I don't recommend showing it to your five year old though.)
I've given Shelby my love for all (well almost all) things John Travolta. Last night we were watching the Oscars in two separate rooms but I heard by baby girl clap just as I was doing with John hit the stage...I love that man.
Anyway, read the book! I was told I would cry one minute and laugh the other...I haven't cried though I might when it's all over. I have some cold-hearted pregnancy hormones...I didn't even cry while watching Les Mis. I do cry watching the Biggest Loser or Downton Abbey, but who doesn't?
I have no shame in saying I called in reinforcements to help me deal with my doctor. Well, let's say my daddy threatened to come deal with doctor, but instead he pretty much gave my mom no other choice then to get on a flight this morning. I'm picking her up this afternoon! Yay!
It's going to be great to have her here not only to help, but there are times when you need your mom - I'm not ashamed of it...I need my mommy to help me get done with pregnancy.
I have my regular OB appointment tomorrow where I will have more blood work done and another sonogram. Then on Thursday I am scheduled to see a specialist. I hope that he will say that we definitely need to deliver by 37 weeks...it's makes me so nervous to wait until 39 weeks.
I will keep you updated! Please pray that my children (mainly the oldest) will not act like too much of a spoiled child while my mom is in town. Is it just mine or do all children act terrible around their grandparents?
