Homecoming 2015

Late Saturday afternoon I walked into my master bathroom to help Shelby with her hair and makeup. She walked in looking barely 14, but as each minute passed I saw her transforming into a gorgeous young lady. The transformation I noticed wasn't only physical, but also a mental transformation. I have been putting make-up on this girl since she was barely four (for dance) and Saturday I realized that something has happened, somehow I feel asleep and now I have a young woman.

I promise you that eventually I will stop harping on the fact that Shelby is now a freshman in high school, but right now I am still in a state of disbelief.

Now, as I shake my head and cry that my baby is so grown up you get to look at just part of the many pictures I took Saturday.

Sister had to get in a picture.

This one I snapped as we were walking out the door...complete sobs!

We headed to Shelby's friends house to meet up with all her other friends.

Then they all headed to Denny's (of all places) to eat before the dance. She danced her little heart out and didn't make it home until after 11 pm.
