Friday Favorites

Here are some of my favorites for this week!

First off, this past week someone posted one of those "10 things about me" on Instagram and one of the things she listed was she would love to live in Waco, TX. She's not a Texan, so I was just like What? Why Waco? Growing up in Dallas, Waco hasn't always been on the top of the places I'd like to live in Texas. My memories of Waco are a bad stretch of I-35 and the crazy Brand Davidians that made headlines in the 90's. So, I decided to look up Chip and Joanna Gaines to see what the fuss was all about.

Let me tell you I have marathoned my way through Season 1 and what has aired so far of Season 2 of their show Fixer Upper on HGTV

They take spaces like this (actually entire homes).

and turn them into this

And if you know me you know that taking older homes and making them livable (and awesome) for today is right up my alley!

Let me just tell you about Chip and Joanna's own home.

It started out looking like this

And it now looks like this

Yep, they live on a large farm/ranch outside of Waco and it is dreamy!
Just check out this kitchen

Go see the rest of there home here:

I'm totally hooked and now I see why someone from another state would want to move to Waco of all places in our great state.

You can get many of the things that Joanna uses in these amazing homes through The Magnolia Market (online and in Waco)

Here's what is on my wish list:

I am not sure exactly where I would put it or if it's practical for a house with toddlers, but I adore this Cups for Days rack

This map is to die for!

And this bracelet is amazing.

So, while I am at I'll probably need a new mug to add to my extensive stash of them.

Did I tell you how much I love this couple and their show? It's a shame that I don't actually get HGTV, so I guess I'll have to watch everything online. I've also pulled Shelby into this obsession (no shocker their) and she's planning us a road trip to Waco!
