A Mother's Day Letter...to My Mom

Dear Mom,

I know that the last 32 years with me haven’t been grand, but I wanted you to know that you have done a great job! I wouldn’t change a thing. I think we needed our trials to get where we are today. I am happy that we talk four or more times a day. I am lucky to be so close with you. I am proud of all the things you have accomplished in life and I am oh so lucky to have you (I’ve always known that).

In the past year I have seen strength come from you that I hadn’t seen before. You are one strong cookie who can handle anything with grace (and not even cuss that much).

Everyone knew you would be an awesome “Grammy.” Shelby thinks you hung the moon and makes it a point to tell me…often! I am brought to tears when I think about the bond the two of you have and how you were the first person to hold her and give her a big kiss. Thank you for that!

Thank you for always standing by me and being my biggest cheerleader!

I love you mom!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Shelby and I wish were there to give you a big hug! We miss you tons!

Love you daughter!
